The Pharmacy Technician Program provides both academic and clinical education in pharmacy practices. The objective of the program is to provide the healthcare community with quality technicians who are prepared for the retail or the hospital clinical pharmacy field. Pharmacy Technicians work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
Students will be prepared to take the national certification examination provided by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board as required by the Louisiana State Board of Pharmacy.
The duration of the program is 12 months.
