With a diverse and culturally eclectic backdrop of a city like New Orleans, Theatre offers a unique and creative form of human expression that can make a lasting impact on not only individuals, but on the community as a whole. The experienced faculty, the tradition of excellence in our students, and the wealth of resources at the college all combine to make Theatre a vital part of the Delgado difference.

A general studies concentration in Theatre gives students the fundamental curriculum they will need to begin a lifelong career in the Theatre Arts. We offer a comprehensive degree plan that easily transfers to four-year institutions.
Why Study Theatre?
Theatre is not only ideal for students who wish to pursue the art form itself, but for anyone whose career interests involve analytical thinking, confidence in addressing a live audience, creative problem solving, marketing and advertising, proficiency in small group communication, as well as any occupation that requires event planning and clear goal setting. So no matter if your ambitions lie in being on stage or off, or you’re looking to pursue a life in public service, practicing law, education, political office, mass media, or any number of related fields, let Delgado’s Theatre program work for you.
