eProfessor certification and M.A.S.T.eR (Motivating Academic Success Through eRedesign) course recognition are Delgado recognized faculty training and peer review programs. In the eProfessor program, participating faculty will be trained in distance delivery and instructional design in an online setting, experiencing the online environment as learners themselves. The College expects that faculty trained in best practices of distance delivery will produce improved student learning. Moreover, the College anticipates that courses offered via distance delivery will produce intended student learning outcomes when faculty have access to training in instructional design relevant to this new learning environment.
The goals for the eProfessor program are to help the professor build and/or evaluate their course site based on Delgado's best practices standards*, while learning about new technologies and pedagogical practices. The course is a repository of ideas, best practices, analyses and other information instructors can use on the topics that impact students, school and work.
The eProfessor program facilitators will use their experience in the online classroom to promote a social, educational resource network among the participants in a class. The information and ideas exchanged in the program help each participant support the online delivery of courses to comply with Delgado policy.
Upon successful completion of the eProfessor program, each participant will receive a Delgado eProfessor certification badge.
Upon completion of a successful full course review, you will receive a M.A.S.T.eR certification badge.
