Exam Proctoring is available For Mid Term and Final Exam Proctoring for both On-line and face to face courses. The site include the North Shore, West Bank and City Park. The schedule for Proctoring will be distributed by the 14th class day of each semester for publishing to your students.
Exam Proctoring is available to any Delgado Instructor. We only ask that you volunteer to assist with Monitoring in one of the Labs.
We ask that you volunteer for (1) two hour shift for each course and section that you offer for proctoring. This is a joint venture and in order for it to be as successful as it has been we count on your support.
There is no fee for this service.
Students must present a valid ‘Picture’ Identification. They must also have their course information (Course name, number, section and Instructors name). They must also have the Instructor approved (i.e. Open Books and or Notes and or standard Calculator) items needed to take their exam. (NOTE: If a calculator is required Standard Calculator will be permitted only. Students will not be allowed to use calculators on their cell phones.) Cell phones will not be allowed in use during exam time. They must be turned off during the exam.
Testing schedules will be available through your Instructor. They will make them available as soon as they are finalized. Students should keep in mind that the hours listed for closure each day are the final times when students will be admitted to take and exam. Students will be given (1) hour after posted close times to complete their exam, but should prepare before hand to make sure they have enough time to complete an exam. No new passwords will be entered after the posted close times.
Appointments are not required to take an exam, each site works on a first come first serve basis but keep in mind that sites can get very busy and you should plan accordingly especially if you are planning to take a long and or multiple exams at one time. Each site will close at the posted time and no one else will be admitted in to take an exam and no new passwords will be entered after this posted close time. You will be given one hour after the posted close time to complete their exam/s.
Students will be allowed to bring only Instructor approved items needed to take an exam (i.e. text books if an open book exam, Notes if notes are allowed by the Instructor etc. ect.). A list of items approved by each Instructor will be available at each testing site. Cell phones WILL NOT be allowed anytime during an exam. If you need a calculator you MUST bring a standard calculator, no one will be allowed to use a cell phone calculator. Also, cell phones should be turned off or to silent during an exam. If you need to use a cell phone for emergency reasons during and exam please check with the Proctor on duty. Scratch paper will be available to you at the testing site.
