Students representing more than 80 different nationalities are presently enrolled in various Delgado programs.
International students on an F-1 and M-1 Visa are required to register and complete each semester (Fall and Spring) as full-time students.
Failure to enroll for a full course of study is considered a violation of the F-1 and M-1 immigration visa status.
International students on an F-1 or M-1 Visa who will study at Delgado Community College must complete the international student admissions process to be considered.
The ESL program at Delgado Community College is recognized both nationally and worldwide as one of the largest programs of English language instruction in the United States
Applications and other requirements must be submitted to International Student Admissions Advisor according to the following schedule.

Step 1: English Language Proficiency Assessment
The Delgado English Language proficiency assessment is required of international students whose native language is not English. Click here for more information.
Step 2: Admission Application
Applicants must fully complete and sign the Admissions Application. Download the admissions application in PDF format and download the supplemental admission application (PDF Form)
Step 3: Admission Application Fee
$50.00 (U.S. Dollars) will be added to your tuition upon registration. No fee is required at this time.
This form must be filled out by your International Student Office.
Step 5: Proof of Immunization
Submit proof of immunization compliance if born after 1956. You can also download the compliance form.
Step 6: Financial Support
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Service requires all international students attending a college or university to submit a statement of financial support as well as an official bank letter. The funds required for tuition and living expenses are approximately $20,300 U.S. dollars per year.

Step 11: Official U.S. transcripts from all previous schools will be required.
Step 12: Submission of Admissions Documents
Mail the completed admissions packet to: Delgado Community College, International Student Admissions, 615 City Park Ave., New Orleans, LA 70119. The admissions packet must contain the following:

I-94 Card (copy)
International students transferring from another U. S. college or university must submit a current passport, I-94 card, SEVIS I-20, and transcripts from all U. S. Colleges or Universities attended. These documents are required in addition to those listed in the steps above. Furthermore, the student must be in good academic standing. Those students currently out of status must apply to the U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for reinstatement upon entry to Delgado Community College.
