About the HiSET

The High School Equivalency Test (HiSET)  is designed to test the academic content of a typical high school education.  The test is broken into five subject areas:

     Language Arts: Reading

     Language Arts: Writing

     Social Studies

Every test candidate must pass each content area and achieve a certain average level of consistency between each of the subjects.

The test is proctored at certified testing centers throughout the New Orleans area.  Any student 17 years of age or older that is not currently enrolled in a K-12 school is eligible to register for the HiSET.  There is a fee to register for the test. Click here for more information on HiSET.

Once a student in our program passes the Official Practice Exam, they will be nominated to register for the HiSET.
