DCC closes Fall 2009 Season... 

The Dolphins offcially closed out their Fall 2009 season with the annual Fall Family Day. Parents, Players, and Family members gathered in Delgado's Student Life Center for a meet and greet and a potluck lunch. Coach Scheuermann introduced the baseball staff, answered some questions about the baseball program, and looked ahead to the 2010 spring season.

The Dolphins will enjoy some down time for a few months before practices resume in January.

Lucas LeBlancA "Sweet" Award…

Delgado outfielder Lucas LeBlanc has been named the Amateur Athlete of the Month by the AllState Sugar Bowl for the month of August. LeBlanc was named Most Valuable Player of the AAABA National in Johnstown, Pennsylvania this past August when the New Orleans Boosters captured the National Championship. To read more about this story, click here.

Athletics In the News...

DCC Athletics was the subject of a recent article on The Examiner's website. The article, written by Eddie Francis, examines the successes and tradition of both Delgado's Basketball and Baseball programs.  Francis examines the program's history and plans for the future.  Moving On...

Several members of the 2008-2009 Delgado squad have signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level. Congratulations and best of luck to these former Dolphins: Brian Arceneaux (Nicholls State University), A.J. Delauneville (Nicholls State University), Jeb Huber (University of West Alabama), Carl Labit (Loyola University), Max Ledet (University of New Orleans), Jacob Ott (Southeastern Louisiana University), Ryan Scott (Loyola University), and Chris Waguespack (Louisiana College).
