HEAD WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COACH

Eddie Fields begins his second season at the helm of the Dolphins' Women's Basketball squad. Fields took over the Lady Dolphins prior to the 2009 season. Fields succeeds Coach Tommy Smith, who guided the Dolphins Men's and Women's programs since the teams resumed play following Hurricane Katrina.

Coach Fields is a graduate of East Jefferson High School. Following graduation, he went on to play college basketball at the University of Oklahoma. Fields was chosen as Most Valuable Player on his high school team and was an All-State honoree. At Oklahoma, he earned four letters and gained All Big Eight Conference honors on two occasions.

 Fields was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 1977 but opted to play for the Harlem Globetrotters.
