WOMEN PICK UP WEEKEND VICTORY
Tied 27-27 at halftime, Delgado took a six point lead with 13:44 remaining in the game and never trailed in its 55-45 victory over Mississippi Gulf Coast CC Saturday at the Williamson Center. The Dolphins (2-4) defeated the Bulldogs, 69-59, on Tuesday at Perkinston.

Jamey Ellis, who had 33 points in Tuesday's victory, had 14 points to lead the Dolphins. Larissa Owens finished with 12 and LaDaisha Smith had eight.


DOLPHINS LOSE CLOSE GAME TO PRCC 51-45
Delgado failed to score til the 13:23 mark in the second half and got outscored 27-14 in the second half in its 51-45 lost to Pearl River in a non conference game at the Williamson Center.

Delgado led the entire first half and held a six point halftime lead. However, the Dolphins were unable to handle the Wildcats fullcourt press to start the second.  DCC fell behind and trailed by nine points with 8:48 remaining in the game.

Jamey Ellis had 14 first half points, but was limited to one in the second for the Dolphins (1-4). Brittany Walker and Larissa Owens finished with six each.



DELGADO PICKS UP ROAD WIN
Jamey Ellis scored 15 first half points and 18 second half to lead Delgado to a 69-59 non conference victory over Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at Perkinston, Ms.
 
Ellis' finished with seven three-pointers and the 33 points is a career high. LaDaisha Smith had nine first half points and finished with 13.



DELGADO DROPS TO JONES; 65-45
Jones outscored Delgado 24-6 in the first 12 minutes of the second half and defeated the Dolphins, 65-45, in a non conference game at Ellisville, Ms.

Jamey Ellis had 14 second half points and finished with 16 to lead Delgado (0-3). Jennifer Varmall had nine points and Larissa Owens had 6.



DOLPHINS FALL TO CO-LIN 71-41
Copiah Lincoln went on a 26-6 run to start the second half as the Wolves defeated Delgado, 71-41, at the Southwest Mississippi Classic in Summitt, Miss.

Christine Conner finished with 11 points for the Dolphins (0-2).



LADY DOLPHINS DROP SEASON OPENER 
Trailing 63-62 with 15 seconds remaining, Delgado missed a layup and Southwest Ms. was able to hold on and gain a 66-63 victory over the Dolphins at Summitt, Ms.

The Dolphins (0-1)had 15 first half tunrovers and trailed 38-18 at half. However, a 17-3 start in the second enabled Delgado to get back into the game.
Sophomore Jamey Ellis had 20 points and freshman center Larissa Owens finished with 10 for the Dolphins.

Pre-season first team all American selection Octavia Bearden led the Bears (1-0) with 23.
