Charity School of Nursing prepares students of varied backgrounds in a learning-centered environment to provide caring, competent nursing in entry level positions to meet the healthcare needs of a diverse community.

Nursing is a most noble calling. Delgado-Charity School of Nursing combines the art of caring with the science of healthcare for one of the most in-demand, high-growth career tracks in the industry. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in natural and social sciences and an understanding of patient care in a variety of settings while providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care to clients and groups of clients throughout the lifespan. Licensed graduates are qualified for employment as entry-level staff nurses in hospitals, long- term care facilities, clinics, physicians’ offices and home care agencies. Students develop competence in the art and science of nursing within an integrated curriculum which incorporates seminar, classroom, Nursing Campus Laboratory, and clinical experiences. The program is limited admission with lecture classes and clinical hours scheduled during both day and evening hours.
Graduates are prepared to take the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN) and the National Council Licensing Examination for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN). Who? All students may meet with an advisor to discuss admissions
requirements, educational goals, academic progress, degree and
course requirements, and semester schedules.
How? On a walk-in basis
