Curriculum Pattern

The ADN program has four semesters of nursing courses. Each nursing course is taught each fall and spring.

The curriculum pattern depicts a plan for completing the program. Many students complete all or most of the 32 hours of non-nursing courses before enrollment in the first NURS course.

There are specific prerequisite course requirements for those who still need the courses.

Prerequisites for NURS 112 and NURS 115:
- BIOL 251, 253 A&P Lecture and Lab
- ENGL 101 English Composition I
- MATH 118 Algebra for College Students

Prerequisites for NURS 122:
- BIOL 252, 254 A&P II Lecture and Lab

Prerequisite for NURS 219 and 221:
- PSYC 127 General Psychology

Prerequisite for NURS 232:
- MATH 120 or above, BIOL 210 or 211, ENGL 102, Fine Arts or Humanities 
elective. Note: Only a 3 hour humanities or fine arts may be taken with
NURS 232.
