Delgado Community College is the recipient of a portion of a $6 million Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)/Louisiana Recovery Authority (LRA) grant to provide allied health and nursing training to more than 1,000 people in a 10-parish region including Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, St. Charles, St. John, St. James, Tangipahoa and Washington parishes. The grant, part of the Recovery Workforce Training Program (RWTP), is one of four CDBG/LRA grants in which Delgado is participating totaling more than $11 million to implement a broad range of workforce training within the Greater New Orleans region.
