Charity School of Nursing offers workshops and seminars for students in order to assist them in their pursuit of academic success.  Delgado Community College also offers workshops for all registered students and cover such topics as:  stress management and student success.  Students can contact the City Park Campus, Advising, Retention/Counseling Center for more information.   

You Are Smarter Than You Think (YASTYT)

This is a self-assessment program where students learn how they receive information, reorganize information and retain information.  It provides the student with specific and individualized strategies for each part of the learning process.

SAC Tutoring

            SAC tutoring is given by the members of the Sigma Alpha Chi honor society at

Charity School of Nursing.  The members give back to the school and their classmates by offering tutoring for individuals.  Sessions are on Monday and Friday afternoons from 1-3 pm.  Tutoring is open to anyone (from any program) provided they bring their notes and what they need to learn.  Special one on one tutoring can be arranged if they come to see the sponsor or by referral from a coordinator.
