Dietetic Technician

Graduates of a Baccalaureate program granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university may apply for the supervised practice of the Delgado Dietetics Technician Program to Establish eligibility to take the Dietetics Technician Registration Examination.

Applicants must have completed ADA minimum academics requirements of the Didactic Program in Dietetics.  Students wishing to apply for admission to the DTRPII courses must submit a completed application to the Allied Health Admission Office.


To meet the academics qualification for the DTRPII, the applicant must:

1.     Submit a Verification Statement of completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics

minimum academics requirements.  The Verification Statement official form must be obtained directly from the Didactic Program Director.  The completion of Didactic Program requirements is to verified by the Program Director of a college or university Didactic Program approved by the American Dietetics Association.  The Verification Statement must include the original signature on the Dietetics Program Director.

2.     Submit an official transcript verifying transfer credit.  Approval of transfer credit must comply with the College policy.  Transferred credits must meet all academics requirement of the Dietetics Technician Programs.
