The Cosmetology Instructor Training program is back!

As the cosmetology industry continues to grow, so does the demand for cosmetology instructors to teach and train those who are pursuing careers in the beauty business. Cosmetology Instructor Training is a 500 hour course designed for licensed cosmetologists who want to enhance their job opportunities while sharing their passion of the industry with others. In this course, you will learn about planning effective instruction, interactive lecturing and demonstration, managing the classroom environment, and how to evaluate student performance through both theory and practical application. Upon completion of this course, you will be prepared to work with students in a hands-on learning environment and prepare them for future careers as cosmetology professionals or you can fulfill your goal of becoming an educator for a cosmetic company or independent distributor. Many companies and distributors are looking for knowledgeable licensed cosmetology instructors to travel the country demonstrating their products at shows, events, and conferences.

The Cosmetology Instructor Training program is now being offered through the Continuing Education department of Workforce Development and Technical Education. The Cosmetology Instructor Training course is offered every Fall (August) and Spring (January) semester. The total cost for the course is $3,500. Payment plans are available.

Vist the Workforce Development and Continuing Education page for more information on how to apply.
