Welcome to my.dcc.edu, a new, more robust, email and cloud computing system available to all Delgado students which is hosted by Microsoft. Using Microsoft Outlook Live, you have access to a brand new 10 GB (gigabyte) mailbox, 25 GB of online file storage, group calendaring, shared online documents using Office Web Apps, blogging tools and much more. Also, because my.dcc.edu is browser based, students have access to all of these services from virtually any computer or mobile device with an Internet connection (e.g. cloud computing). You are required to check your my.dcc.edu email account for important announcements and communications from the College such as instructor communications, financial aid, etc.

Faculty and Staff Email
Delgado Community College has contracted with Microsoft Online Services to host our faculty/staff email in the cloud. This email service is part of the Microsoft Office 365 offering and is implemented on Exchange 2010 servers using Forefront Online Protection for Exchange as its anti-spam filter. Delgado’s contract does not include the Lync and SharePoint options of Office 365, however, these will be available sometime during the 2012-2013 academic year.
You may come across various names in the literature for this e-mail service: Office 365, Exchange Online, Outlook, Outlook Web App, OWA…but we decided to just call it Office 365. With Office 365, you now have access to a brand new 25G mailbox with the ability to send 25M emails (including attachments).
When logging in to Office 365, all users must type @dcc.edu along with your username in the User ID field. For example, email@example.com.
