Dear Counselors,

Greetings on behalf of our Director, Gwen A. Boutte' and the Enrollment Services Staff!

Together, we have made great strides toward giving students access to higher education opportunties. Delgado's record enrollment of 20,000 plus students is evidence of our passion and partnerships in helping students transition to higher education.  

Though we are on a progressive track, there is still much work to be done. In anticipating an influx of students for the 2011-2012 year, we must ensure that students have what they need to start college "right." This means that students must apply for financial assistance by the deadline, that we must continue to educate parents on what their roles are in the financial aid process, and that we must continue to teach students the importance of not only choosing a college, but the importance of being ready to attend college.  

While we have much to celebrate, we have not reached our apex. Changing educational trends dictate that we must work more strategically and cohesively than ever before.  Because we share an unwavering committment to educating students in our community, I know that we will once again prove to be successful. We are truly better together.
