First Time Freshmen Scholarship Information

Delgado Community College offers five types of scholarships to eligible graduating high school seniors. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievements, intellectual promise, leadership abilities, community contribution at their respective high school, music skills (if applying for Music Scholarship) and community service.  Scholarship applicants must enroll into a degree or certificate program.

Delgado also offers scholarships to non-traditional applicants (Adults). Non-traditional applicants must have been out of high school for at least five years, or have received their GED diploma or will have it by the time the semester begins to apply for a scholarship. Interested individuals must apply for admission into Delgado prior to applying for a scholarship.

The online scholarship application will be available October 31, 2012 from this page as well as from www.dcc.edu.  The Scholarship deadline is March 15, 2013.
