Federal Work Study Program
The College Work Study (CWS) program is a Federal Campus based aid program. CWS program provides job opportunities for students who have a documented financial need and who wish to earn part of their educational expenses while they are attending school. Job assignments are a max of 20 hours per week and range from clerical work to research assistant to teaching assistant. The work hours are flexible enough to accommodate students' academic schedules.
CWS participants are paid bi-monthly (every two weeks). The first check may come 3 to 4 weeks after the first day of approved clocked hours. The pay rate is determined by the current minimum wage rate. Participants must be enrolled at least part-time (6 hours or more) to qualify. Students who meet the qualifications, the deadline and have a documented need will be notified of their eligibility. Applicants should be aware that limited funding for this program is available so, funds are distributed on a first come, first served basis to qualifying students.
