In adherence to the Louisiana Office of Technology Services Information Security Policy, all of the replacement computers installed as part of the college-wide computer replacement initiative come equipped with Microsoft Office 2016 and the Windows 10 operating system which requires users to encrypt electronic media using BitLocker before files can be saved to it. Phase II of the college wide Computer Replacement Project is complete at all locations. OIT has now transitioned into the Laptop Replacement Project which is set to begin April 10-28, 2017, and will encompass the deployment of (137) laptops and (67) laptops with docking stations to designated faculty and staff at the following locations: City Park, Jefferson Site, Sidney Collier Site and Westbank.
