Hospitality Management


Delgado Community College provides a learning-centered environment in which to prepare students from diverse backgrounds to attain their educational, career, and personal goals, to think critically, to demonstrate leadership, and to be productive and responsible citizens. In keeping with the College’s mission statement,
the Hospitality Management program is committed to providing trained employees for the hospitality industry
and to create a positive, learning-centered environment that encourages lifelong learning in our community.

The Hospitality Management Program provides academic instruction and practical experience in the field of hospitality. The program offers concentrations in:

  • Hotel and Lodging Management,

  • Tourism; and

  • Food and Beverage Management.

The program is designed to provide trained personnel for entry-level positions and mid-management positions in the hospitality industry. The program is also designed for students who wish to continue with their studies by matriculating into:

  • School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Administration at the University of New Orleans; and

  • Conrad Hilton’s program at the University of Houston, Texas.
