The Biomedical Equipment Repair program at Delgado Community College prepares students for jobs installing and repairing electronic equipment used specifically in the healthcare field. Because most of this equipment today is highly sophisticated, students focus their studies on electronics, biomedical instrumentation and circuitry. The program includes an acclaimed work co-op that allows students to practice their skills in a healthcare environment.

Graduates of this program may work as technicians for equipment manufacturers, or move directly in a hospital or other healthcare setting.
