Fine Arts
Welcome to Fine Arts at Delgado Community College
Fine arts at Delgado focuses on the individual. Studio classes are small and students from beginners to majors receive individual instruction. Every student is encouraged to develop the physical and critical skills necessary to create art.
Mission:
The Fine Arts program provides students with appropriate skills and knowledge sufficient for transfer to four-year institutions, for function in their own studios, or for professional/personal enhancement.
Vision:
In keeping with the Delgado Community College vision statement, the Fine Arts degree program is committed to student success through innovative leadership and excellence in teaching and learning.
Goals:
The Fine Arts degree program provides students:
1. with appropriate skills and knowledge sufficient for transfer to senior institutions,
2. for functioning as studio artists or within the community,
3. and/or professional/personal enhancement and development.
