Honors Program

Qualifications:

If you are interested in the Honors Program, you must meet at least one of the following requirements:

• 3.0 GPA at Delgado or another college
  
• ACT of 22 or higher
  
• Placement test score of at least 10 in English
• 3.5 high school GPA

In addition, the applicant must be out of all developmental courses except Math 096.

To remain in the Honors Program students must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Graduating from the Honors Program:

Students who graduate in the Honors Program receive a medallion, commendation on their diploma, and recognition at the graduation ceremony. Requirements for graduating in the Honors Program are as follows:

• 3.4 cumulative GPA upon graduation
  
• Completion of HUMA 150 Structure of Western Thought
  
• Completion of 15 hours of Honors classes (including HUMA 150)
