Honors Program
Scholarships:
The Delgado Honors Program offers scholarships that pay full tuition and fees. Apply at the Honors Office before March 31, 2009 for the following school year. To continue on the scholarship, the student must maintain a 3.4 GPA, be enrolled full-time, and take at least one Honors class each semester.
Qualifications for new students are one of the following:
- ACT score of 22 or higher, composition and high school GPA 3.0.
- High school GPA 3.5 and placement into college-level courses.
Qualifications for continuing Delgado students are the following
- Cumulative GPA 3.4 in at least 12 hours of college-level courses
- Completion of all required developmental classes
- Full-time status when applying
Transfer Scholarships:
Students in the Honors Program have many opportunities for transfer scholarships to universities. Apply by February 12 for a transfer scholarship to the University of New Orleans in the fall and by September 1 for the spring.
Delgado Honors Program graduates receive scholarships to other universities such as Loyola, Tulane, SUNO, and out of state universities such as University of Mississippi, the University of Florida, Emory, Smith, and others. Honors students are invited to see Emily Cosper for help with their search and for a letter of recommendation.
