CAUTION: It is the responsibility of the student to verify that the credit associated with courses noted on this degree plan is transferable to another institution by checking directly with an agent of the “receiving institution”. Acceptance and application of credit is always the prerogative of the receiving institution. DCC advisors may offer an opinion but they cannot speak definitively on this matter. Before selecting this option, i.e., the GSTD, a student who intends to transfer to a four year institution should consider the Associate of Arts Louisiana Transfer Degree or the Associate of Science Louisiana Transfer Degree which would be more appropriate and advantageous.
