De Shon Berry
Assistant Professor of Psychology

De Shon Berry has been teaching psychology at Delgado's City Park campus since January 2005, first as an adjunct faculty member, and in August 2005 she became a full-time faculty member.  Prior to teaching at Delgado she worked as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist specializing in forensic cases.  She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Southern University of New Orleans and a Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her interest and expertise includes juvenile delinquency, victimization and forensic assessments.  De Shon Berry developed an Introduction to Forensic Psychology course, which has generated a huge interest in the field from students as well as faculty members.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana as well as Illinois.  She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Louisiana Psychological Association.  She has taught the following courses: General Psychology, Child Psychology, Social Psychology, Human Growth and Development, Abnormal Psychology and Introduction to Forensic Psychology.
