Brett Heintz
Associate Professor of Psychology

| Brett Heintz is the Department Chair for Social Sciences. He has been teaching at
Delgado
Community College since August of 1996, first as an adjunct instructor and then as a full-time instructor since September 2000. Prior to teaching, he oversaw the Study Skills lab at the
City
Park campus. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the
University of
New Orleans and a Master of Science degree in Psychology from the
University of
Southwestern Louisiana (now called the
University of
Louisiana at
Lafayette). He has taught the following courses in the Psychology Department: Child Psychology, Human Growth & Development, General Psychology, and Abnormal Psychology. In addition, he has also taught Introduction to Developmental Disabilities, Positive Behavioral Supports, and CCSS 107. Mr. Heintz is a member of the Association for Psychological Science (APS), and is a faculty advisor of the Psychology Club at
Delgado
Community College.
