Grad Fest Fall 2009

Welcome to the Grad Fest Fall 2009, your one stop center to take care of all your needs prior to graduation. Please visit each station and make sure a star is placed on your card.
 
The Grad Fest provides an opportunity for you to get clearance in order to participate and receive your diploma at the Commencement Exercises being held on Friday, December 11, 2009. At this time, you will be able to finalize any outstanding paperwork; receive clearance from the Office of the Registrar, Bursar’s Office, and Financial Assistance Office. You will also be able to order your class ring, purchase your cap and gown and announcements, and pick-up your graduation card. Representatives from the Phi Theta Kappa and Alumni associations will also be present.

The following dates and times have been chosen for the Grad Fest Fall 2009. The entire process should not take more than an hour. Please choose a time that fits your schedule:

    Tuesday, November 17 - 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Grad Fest Fall 2009 Process

 

Table 1  – Registrar –School of Nursing Students

Give your name and picture ID  to the person at Registrar’s desk to make sure you are on the potential graduate list. The following will take place:

  • Receive a Graduation Clearance Card
  • Check graduation status
  • Receive a graduation survey
  • Receive graduation documents
  • Submit request to mail diploma if you are not participating in commencement exercises

Table 2  – Registrar – City Park and West Bank Students

 Table 3 – Phi Theta Kappa

If you are a member of PTK, please add your name to the list so the representative can add your name to the potential graduates. Also, you can request information on how to order your PTK tassel and stole.

 

Table 4 – Alumni

Once you have graduated, you have the privilege of becoming a member of the Delgado Community College Alumni Association. Staff at this table will be able to provide you with the necessary information.

 

 Table 5  – Bursar

You will be able to check the following:

  • Financial holds
  • Outstanding balance for the current semester

 

 Table 6  – Financial Assistance

You will receive information for or on how to do the following:

  • Perform an Exit Financial Assistance Interview on-line
  • Receive the information necessary to perform an Exit Financial Assistance Interview at home

 

 Table 7  – Balfour

A Balfour representative will be available to assist you in ordering class rings. Various samples will be on display. 

 

 Table 8  – Barnes & Noble

Cap, Gown, and announcements will be available for purchase. Only cash or check will be accepted as a form of payment at this station.   All credit card purchases must be made at the Bookstore.

 

 Table 9  - Registrar’s Check-Out

After you have received a check out star from each station, staff at this table will collect your card, graduation survey, and any additional documents pertaining to graduation. You will then receive your graduation card. Please keep this card. You will need it for checking at commencement and to line up for graduation procession.
