Libraries
The Delgado Community College libraries provide valuable resources to assist students and faculty with their education needs. A wide array of online resources is provided to the Delgado Community College community. Over 100 online resources provide support to the research activities of students and faculty and include such titles as netLibrary (a collection of over 30,000 full-text electronic books), ebrary (over 30,000 academic electronic books), Gale Virtual Reference Library (over 350 electronic reference books), Oxford Reference Online, Academic Search Premier, Arts and Sciences Collection (JSTOR), Biography Resource Center, Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) Plus Full-Text, CollegeSource, Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe, Grove’s Dictionary of Art Online and Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition. Students, faculty and staff may currently access these and many other online resources through the Blackboard site as well as the Delgado web site.
Charity School of Nursing Library
The Charity School of Nursing Library supports the nursing curriculum and the mission statements of the school, the college, and the Delgado Community College libraries. The library has over 3,000 books as well as subscriptions to nursing journals in print and to electronic access to medical/nursing databases. Computers are available in the library for research and for access to the CSN Multimedia videos.
The library has a reading area and a career development corner. teh CSN Library offers a number of services including the circulation of books and tape recorders, help with locating resources, assistance with course assignments, Interlibrary Loan requests, and Research Instruction for faculty, staff, and students. Help can be arranged with the librarian who will meet with patrons in person, as a walk-in or by appointment, by telephone, or by email. Instrution classes will be provided upon request by faculty. The lobby area outside of the library is open with the building hours and provides two network printers and three copiers for student use. A book drop is available at the front desk in the lobby so that books can be left at any time.
City Park Library
The City Park Library is located in Building 10, Room 116 on the City Park Campus. Services such as circulation, reference assistance, reserves, online database/bibliographic instruction, online database research, online printing, interlibrary loan and copier services are available. The print collection includes approximately 22,000 books with an additional 87,000 books in Closed Stacks. Over 380 print newspapers and journals are available as well.

Northshore / Slidell Library
Northshore/Slidell Library has a collection of approximately 1200 print titles. The library is slowly being restored to its pre-hurricane collection size. Books, periodicals, and computers are now available at the Northshore/Slidell Library. Northshore students have access to the St. Tammany Parish Public Library System for library services.
West Bank Library
The library on the West Bank Campus has a collection of approximately 20,000 volumes. The library subscribes to more than 500 journals, magazines, and newspapers, and provides access to the Internet and online research tools.
Services such as reference assistance, reserves, online database instruction, online database research, online printing, and interlibrary loans are offered in the West Bank Library, Building 2, Room 126.
Bibliographic or online database instruction, provided to individuals and classes, is available Monday-Friday at the West Bank Library.
