Dear Students, Faculty and Staff of Delgado Community
College’s West Bank Campus:
Welcome to our
campus!
I am pleased to have everyone
and delighted that you have chosen Delgado as your place to
study, to work, and to grow!
Our enrollment is approximately
2,900 students for the 2007 fall semester compared to the
3,034 enrollment pre-Katrina, our largest ever in the
history of the campus.
Each of you has
experienced hardships dealing with the hurricanes, the
flooding, and general day-to-day existence.
However, you have decided to
continue your education on this campus and the faculty,
staff and I are excited to have you here and to be a part of
your continued growth and development.
We are constantly striving for
excellence and continually focusing on becoming even more
student-centered than we have been in the past.
We have an excellent faculty and
staff at Delgado!
We are particularly proud of the
West Bank Campus faculty and staff.
We are here to assist you in
becoming successful whether you are here for a course, a
program, transfer to a four-year university, obtain a
certificate or an associate’s degree, participate in
workforce training or professional development; or desire
self-improvement.
Regardless of your
choice or reasons for attending the West Bank Campus of
Delgado Community College, we want to provide you the
necessary tools to achieve your goals.
We are close to where you live;
offer reasonable costs compared to other institutions in the
area; offer small classes and individual attention;
alternative approaches to learning, such as our
distance-learning courses; provide experience in community
service and provide to you a courteous, friendly and
knowledgeable staff and faculty.
I graduated from a community
college much like this one and I know how important it is to
receive quality education and training, regardless of what
your future goals may be.
My office is
located in LaRocca Hall, Room 142.
If you have a problem or
concern, or if you need assistance in resolving an issue,
please stop by the Provost’s Office and we will either help
you solve your problem or direct you to the appropriate
person who can help you.
My staff consists of Ms. Jerrie
Protti, Executive Assistant to the Provost, and Ms. Sherlyn
Henry-Lambert, Administrative Assistant V.
Have
a great semester and plan to return next term!
We want you back!
Cordially,
Donna K.
