| Dear students, faculty and staff, |

| In March, the Louisiana Community and Technical College System Board of Directors adopted a new “21st Century Model for the Delivery of Technical Education” for all of the community and technical colleges in the state. This measure will create Regional Technical Education Centers, which will be comprised of regional clusters of technical college campuses linked with the community colleges providing administrative leadership and oversight. In our region, Delgado Community College will link with the LTC-District 1 Campuses for Jefferson, West Jefferson, Slidell, and Sidney Collier. |

| What does this mean for you? For the meantime, nothing will change about the delivery of services and education, or tuition and fees. It will take several months to completely align our services and programs, and once in place all students will benefit from increased opportunities, access, and choices as the LTC campuses partner with Delgado Community College. In addition, for our faculty and staff, the linkage is designed to enhance communications and promote program growth as the two institutions work more closely together to serve student and community needs. |

| The Delgado/LTC-District 1 linkage is an exciting opportunity to build upon the strengths and best practices of each institution, and promote a more comprehensive educational experience. You will be hearing much more about this initiative in the coming weeks and months. And, several of you will be invited to participate in our planning and implementation process. Your opinions and insights will help shape our future so that together, Delgado and the Louisiana Technical College-District 1 campuses provide the best services and offerings. |
