What is eLearn?

eLearn is a free online program for anyone studying to earn a high school equivalency diploma (HiSET, formerly the GED) and transition to college and career pathways.

eLearn classes are all online! After testing and orientation at the City Park Campus, everything can be done online. All you need is a computer (not just a smartphone) with internet access and the ability to manage your time effectively.

There are several parts to the eLearn Program:

On-Campus

You'll come to our City Park Campus once for Orientation and every few months for ongoing testing to help measure progress and figure out which classes to take.

Testing

There are 2 types of tests you'll take in eLearn. Our program testing (called the TABE test) will help you measure your levels in English and Math and figure out which classes to take.

The Official HiSET is what you'll pass to earn a diploma. It’s always up to you to decide when you’re ready for the real test. You can try a free practice test at home and talk with your coach to register for the real exam.

Coaching

All online students will be paired with a coach that is here to help you succeed online. Your coach will check-in weekly and help you navigate everything eLearn as you progress towards your goals.

Are you ready for an online class?

After applying online, we'll help you get started with your first online class. It's called "Getting Started Online" and will help you figure out if taking classes from home is right for you.

We'll also help you explore the eLearn Program including what to expect after you finish the first class.
