Freshman Orientation is mandatory for all first-time freshmen pursuing an associate’s degree or a certificate.  This is the second step in the freshmen enrollment process.

For your convenience, you can now access the session on your mobile device notebook, laptop, or your desk top. The session lasts approximately one hour, and is available 24/7.  You may leave the session at any time.  We will remember where you left off.  Your computer must have speakers for the audio presentation, and high definition resolution for optimum image results.

The Office of Veterans Affairs strives to provide quality service to students at Delgado Community College who served our country in our Armed Forces as well as their dependents. This Web site is designed to help those individuals who are interested in attending Delgado to use their educational benefits. Information on eligibility for the GI Bill, using the GI Bill, National Guard tuition exemption, Dependent fee waivers, applying to Delgado, receiving military or transfer credit, and many other resources are available throughout this Web site. Delgado's Veterans Affairs Counselors serve as certifying officials who act as a liaison between the Department of Veterans Affairs and the veteran student This involves assisting with a variety of processing and information needs, such as documentation requirements, correspondence, and the certification benefits. If you have questions that are not answered here, please contact a Delgado Veterans Affairs Counselor, or contact the GI Bill staff directly at 1-888-442-4551.

***Post 9/11 GI Bill***

If you are interested in using this benefit, please visit the GI Bill Web site to learn more about your eligibility in comparison to other chapters of the GI Bill. If you choose to use this benefit, you must make an irrevocable choice to use it. This means you cannot begin using the Post 9/11 GI Bill and then go back to another chapter. It is highly recommended that you educate yourself about the differences and make the best decision for your situation. You will then need to apply for this new benefit here. Once you receive your award letter, please submit a copy of this letter to the Office of Veterans Affairs and submit a Request for Certification.
