Delgado Youth Occupational Skills Training Program Graduates Nineteen Students

At ceremonies on January 31, 11 students in the Youth Occupational Skills Training (YOST) program at Delgado Community College graduated as Clinical Medical Assistants and eight students graduated from Career Pathways in Hospitality and Tourism training.

The graduates are from Orleans and Jefferson parishes. The YOST program at Delgado is designed to assist young people ages 18-24 in acquiring occupational skills training which will prepare them for sustainable employment in the field of their training.

The YOST program is a partnership between Jefferson Parish and Delgado Community College, with funding provided by the Jefferson Parish Workforce Development Board Youth Committee.  

The Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association Hospitality Education Foundation is also a partner with the Delgado YOST program.
