The New Orleans Baby Cakes and Delgado Community College are partners for the team’s inaugural season. Dozens of faculty and students have represented the college and their programs at information tables during Baby Cakes games this summer. And they are getting good results. The group at the August 17 game reported that at least two students registered for classes this fall after speaking with them at the game.
There are eight home games remaining for the Baby Cakes this season. This Friday, August 25, Delgado Community College community members in attendance will receive special recognition from the PA announcer, so please wear your Delgado colors if you plan to attend. More than 200 tickets were donated by the Baby Cakes to Delgado students to attend the game free of charge. Free Baby Cakes bobbleheads will go to the first 1,000 fans to enter the ballpark that evening. For more information, click here.
