Dr. Peter L. Cho, a faculty member at Delgado since 1995, has been named executive dean of the Delgado Community College West Bank Campus. Cho held the position on an interim basis since December 2015.
He has served as the department chair of Humanities, coordinator of the Music and Music Business Department and director of the Delgado Jazz Ensemble.
Cho holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of New Orleans; a Master of Music degree from Loyola University, New Orleans; and a Bachelor of Jazz Studies degree from Loyola University, New Orleans. He is also a graduate of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System Leadership Development Institute, and a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program with a certificate in Entrepreneurship.
“We are confident that Dr. Cho’s leadership as dean will contribute to the legacy of community service and academic excellence at the Delgado West Bank Campus,” said Joan Y. Davis, chancellor of Delgado Community College.
“I would like to thank Chancellor Davis and everyone at Delgado Community College for their confidence in me, and I look forward to serving the West Bank Campus,” Cho said.
