Two members of the faculty at the Delgado Community College Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans have been named among the 2015 Great 100 Nurses of Louisiana by the Great 100 Nurses Foundation.
They are Pamela K. Kemp, Associate Professor, and Thuan LePhi, Adjunct Instructor.
Among the 100 honorees there are also 19 graduates of Charity School of Nursing from 1979 to 2010.
The Great 100 Nurses Foundation was founded in New Orleans 29 years ago and since then has honored thousands of nurses across Louisiana, North Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma. The nurses are selected based on their concern for humanity, their contributions to the profession of nursing and their mentoring of others.
The Louisiana winners will be honored at the Great 100 Nurses Celebration of Louisiana on Wednesday, October 14, at the Pontchartrain Center, 4545 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA 70065. The public is welcome to attend. More information can be found at www.g100nurses.org.
