Area residents now attending Delgado Community College can get free assistance navigating the maze of available benefits and resources in a single stop.
Accessing benefits can require time-consuming visits to a series of different offices, a major time investment for people who often work multiple jobs and rely on limited transportation options. At the heart of Single Stop is a “one-stop-shop” strategy, which makes it possible for people to learn about their eligibility for a variety of benefits at one time and in one place.
Delgado’s Single Stop office at the City Park Campus is affiliated with Single Stop USA, a not-for-profit organization that connects low-income households with resources for which they are eligible.
The office is hosting an Open House on Thursday, August 25, 1-3 p.m., Building 2E, Room 108A, Delgado City Park Campus, 615 City Park Ave., New Orleans. All Delgado students are welcome to meet the Single Stop staff and learn about the services provided.
Services at the City Park Campus office of Single Stop are available to any Delgado student, full-time or part-time.
