Delgado’s City Park Campus features a unique Veterans Day display. Inside the glassed-in breezeway of Building 2, an American flag has been made completely out of Post-it notes. On the flag, each individual Post-it note represents a Delgado student who is an active military person, military veteran, dependent or spouse. Nearly 1,000 individuals are represented.
“The results form an interesting visual representation of the impact that veterans make on our student population,” said Mickey Pigg, Veterans Affairs Counselor in Advising and Testing at the City Park Campus.
Pigg said they will make yellow Post-it notes available on Wednesday, Nov. 11—Veterans Day-—so that students can write a quick note to be added as a border to the flag and perhaps to form yellow “ribbons.”
