Jada Weadd is a Louisiana Transfer Degree student with the ultimate goal of becoming a computer programmer. Weadd chose Delgado to save on the cost of tuition before transferring to a four-year university and to benefit from Delgado’s smaller class sizes with more teacher interaction. She is pursuing a career in computer programming because she loves working with computers. She also has cerebral palsy.
“I chose my major because I have always loved computers and I want to be able to create different types of computer programs for all different kinds of people, no matter the type of obstacle they may face,” said Weadd.
Weadd is confident and is very knowledgeable about computers, programming, and coding. After she obtains her bachelor’s degree, she wants to work with other computer programmers.
“I plan on becoming a computer programmer that owns my own business or that is one of the top computer programmers,” said Weadd.
Weadd believes that Delgado is providing the fundamentals that will play a huge role in her future. Her expected graduation date is 2017. Her mother also attended Delgado.
