Homecoming King/Queen College-wide

Qualifications & Duties

Qualifications

• Homecoming King and Queen must have at least 12 hours completed at Delgado Community College.
• Candidates must complete Qualifications Application.
• Candidates shall be currently enrolled at Delgado Community College, in nine (9) credit hours at the time of filing for Homecoming King and Queen.
• Candidates at the time of filing must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 GPA as certified by the Registrar, and shall have no record of disciplinary action.
• Candidates shall submit three (3) letters of recommendation from Faculty, Staff, or Community Leaders with the application. These letters must be turned it at the qualifications meeting! 
• Homecoming King and Queen shall be determined by a majority vote cast by the student body.
• Attend the Qualifications Meeting scheduled below.
• Must name one individual to act as their Election Commissioner no later than one week before the scheduled election. The Commissioners are not allowed to wear or distribute any campaign materials on election days. They are to serve as the candidate’s representative on the Elections Committee and are required to assist the Elections committee in their duties. (Commissioners must have 2/3 approval of the Student Senate.) Candidates who do not supply a Commissioner fail to qualify for the race!

Each Campus’s Homecoming Queen and King will be awarded Delgado prize pack.

• Online Applications are due by 2011 dates have not been announced.
• Qualifications Meetings: (Must submit letters of recommendation during qualifications meeting)
