Meet Alton...

From script kiddie to security consultant and business owner, Alton Johnson was always into computers. Growing up in New Orleans, Alton was the victim of getting hacked with Sub7; once the hacker showed him how Sub7 worked, Alton was hooked. From there, he explored his passion for hacking and learned to code. Taking a nontraditional approach, he decided to pursue his GED at 16, followed by his diploma through Louisiana Technical College and embraced multi-vender certifications, obtaining his A+, Security+, Network+, and two MCTS certifications throughout his time at LTC.

After a handful of IT jobs, his InfoSec career began in a basic IT role at a cybersecurity firm. Every chance he could, he got involved with the assessments the cybersecurity analysts were conducting, learned as much as possible, and passed more certifications. A few role changes and two certifications: eLearnSecurity Certified Professional Penetration Tester (eCPPT) and Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) – later, the rest was history.

In 2018, Alton founded Vonahi Security with a mission to fulfill the demand of high-quality cybersecurity consulting services and solutions. He is an entrepreneur, speaker, and hacker with thirteen industry certifications to his name.
