New biology course offered - BIOL 179: Independent Studies in Biology - The Biology of Fishes. The course will be offered in the Fall 2018 semester on Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This course will cover the basic biology of fishes and then focus on the identification, collection, and preparation of non-game, non-commercial freshwater fishes of the southeastern Louisiana and southwestern Mississippi regions. Interested in forensics? Delgado is offering a Forensic Biology course in Fall 2018. The course will serve as an introduction to the analysis of common biological evidence recovered in crime scenes with disciplines such as hair, fiber, DNA, and blood analysis.
