Career Pathways in Computer Networking Offered at Delgado

August 26, 2019

Delgado Community College is offering career-focused training in computer networking for entry-level students.

Training is offered for A+, Network + and Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician. Courses are scheduled September 16 – March 20, Monday through Friday, 5-9:30 p.m.

A+ training provides foundational IT skills across a variety of devices and operating systems. It is the preferred qualifying credential for technical support and IT operational roles. Students learn the competency of entry-level PC computer service professionals in installing, maintaining, customizing and operating personal computers.

Network+ training teaches students the skills to design, configure, manage and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks.

The Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician training validates the skills required for entry-level network support positions with skills to install, operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security.

The training is free for anyone eligible for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) training services.
