Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Grant Application

Thank you for your interest in applying for the Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Program at Delgado Community College in partnership with Workforce Education Division and the Care and Development of Young Children. Delgado has received a Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Program Grant from Agenda for Children.

This grant will pay for tuition, books, provide stipends for students, technology, training, and Class Reliable Observer assistance to support students to attend Delgado BESE-approved Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Program 

Listed below are the minimum eligibility requirements for the Delgado BESE-approved Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Program:

To be considered for acceptance to the program, individuals must:

  1.  Submit application online
  2.  Submit Resume online with application
  3. Participate in the Zoom orientation
  4. Participate in an Interview 
  5.  Sign a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU)
  6. Participants must be committed to completing submit application to the CDA Council for Professional Recognition.
  7. Participate in 18 weeks of  Zoom classroom instruction from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. on Tuesday nights with some Saturday professional development trainings
  8. Submit Letter of recommendation with application
  9. Participate in putting together CDA binder
  10. Report to class on time

Program Design

  • 3 courses (45 clock hours per course) for a total of 135 clock hours and 9 hours of Prior learning credits to the CDYC Program
  • Class Begins Tuesday, February 20, 2024
    Class Ends Tuesday, June 27, 2024
  • CDYC 109 (6 weeks)
  • CDYC 110  (6 weeks)
  • CDYC 113  (6 weeks)
    *Saturday professional training sessions
  • Online and/or Face to Face classes with a highly qualified instructor
  • Tuesday nights
  • Class Time: 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. or 5:30p.m.-8:30p.m.(TBA)
