Theatre Production "The Boys Next Door" Scheduled Nov. 14-18

The Delgado Community College Theatre Program announces their latest production, “The Boys Next Door” by Tom Griffin.

 “The Boys Next Door” is a heartfelt story about four mentally challenged men living on their own under the care of a young social worker. Structured with several scenes from their daily lives, where the “little things” become both momentous and hilarious, are moments of great poignancy and compassion, affirming that those with special needs, like the rest of us, want only to love, laugh and find meaning in life.

“The Boys Next Door” is directed by Kris LaMorte. The play will be performed by students from the Delgado Theatre Program.

The production staff includes scene design by James Means, lighting and sound design by Tom Dawson and costume design by Erin Routh.

The play opens Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Delgado Drama Hall, 615 City Park Ave. (3rd Floor), City Park Campus. The production will run one week only: Nov. 14 – 18. Curtain times for Wednesday-Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. and the Sunday matinee on Nov. 18 is at 3 p.m. (closing performance).

Tickets are $12 general admission; $10 Delgado students, faculty and staff; $8 for all area high school students with student group rates available. Thursday, Nov. 15 is Delgado appreciation night when all tickets for Delgado students, faculty and staff are only $8.  For online reservations, go to Eventbrite.
