Delgado Culinary, Pastry Arts Students Volunteer at Hogs for the Cause 2025

April 05, 2025

Organized and led by Chef Joseph St. Paul, Delgado associate professor of culinary arts, Delgado Culinary and Pastry Arts students volunteered with Hogs for the Cause, an organization that supports families affected by pediatric brain cancer. The annual event took place April 4-5, 2025 at the UNO Lakefront in New Orleans.

Since its founding by Becker Hall and Rene Louapre with a single pig roast, Hogs for the Cause has grown into the leading national fundraiser for this cause. The participating teams power the massive charity cook-off not only through the food they serve throughout the weekend but also through the funds they raise year-round. This year, the organization raised over 5.25 million for pediatric brain cancer.
