Delgado Faculty and Staff Attend Statewide Student Success Summit in Lafayette
April 03, 2025
Dr. Theresa DeGruy, Dr. Rosaria Guastella, and Professor Bob Warren represented Delgado Community College at the third annual Meauxmentum Summit: Gaining Meauxmentum, hosted by the Louisiana Board of Regents at the Cajundome and Convention Center in Lafayette on April 2-3, 2025.
The statewide summit brought together faculty, administrators, and higher education leaders from all of Louisiana’s public two- and four-year institutions. As a key component of the Louisiana Meauxmentum Framework, the event supports the state’s goal of reaching 60% credential attainment among working-age adults by 2030.
The summit focused on strategies to improve student outcomes through collaboration, innovation, and practical implementation. Sessions were organized into dedicated tracks for faculty and administrators, with workshops addressing program selection, advising redesign, and broader student success strategies. Breakout sessions and plenary events offered attendees the chance to engage in focused discussions and align around shared institutional goals.
Delgado’s team participated in sessions led by national experts, gaining insights and tools to help enhance student support systems and streamline academic pathways.
Their participation reflects Delgado’s continued engagement in statewide efforts to improve student achievement and contribute to Louisiana’s higher education goals.
