Delgado Nursing, Allied Health Host Inspiring Career Fair Expo with Local and Regional Hospitals

On April 11, Delgado Community College’s Charity School of Nursing and School of Allied
Health welcomed leading local and regional hospitals to campus for an impactful Career
Fair Expo, organized by Spectrum, one of Delgado’s dedicated nursing student organizations.
Held in the state-of-the-art Ochsner Center for Nursing and Allied Health on Delgado's
City Park Campus, the event brought together healthcare employers and Delgado students
for a day of connection, opportunity, and inspiration. Nursing and allied health students
explored career pathways, asked questions, and gained firsthand insight into what
it takes to thrive in today’s healthcare workforce.
“This event was a powerful reminder of the community’s investment in our students’
futures,” said Jennifer Fernandez, Dean of Nursing. “We are deeply grateful to our
hospital partners for showing up, sharing their expertise, and supporting the next
generation of compassionate, skilled healthcare professionals.”
The Career Fair exemplified the strength of Delgado’s programs and its collaborative
spirit. The expo created meaningful moments that will echo into students’ careers.
